Foxer’s recent dilemma with finding movies to watch reminded me of a post I saw a while agon on one of the WOW blog sites that I like to read from time to time: World of Matticus Movie List. In addition to Foxer getting a list of movies to check out, older members like myself can get a kick out of reading the list and remembering all of those great movies. Make sure you scroll down to find the movies in the comments.

NOTE: some movies listed are rated R and intended for those old enough to watch those movies. Do not consider this a recommendation for younger members.

I’d also like to give a quick plug for the World of Matticus blog. It’s usually quite entertaining and filled with good information. There are several contributors from different classes. Give it a try!

Quote #1 = Rory after accidentally porting to Darnassus instead of his intended destination. Someone had pointed out that he could have easily taken a boat from Darnassus to get where he was going.

Quote #2 = Foxer while PVP’ing in battle grounds. This quote takes on several variations with Foxer such as “Oh no” (some times repeated).

New Progression Run. Goal is to down the first 8 bosses. We’ll attempt Blood Princes if time allows. Refer to an earlier post for the list of raiders currently included in the progression runs.

Thursday

New Alts and New Raiders run. We will continue to include members of Order of the Lion and Guardians of the Legacy. Refer to an earlier post for the requirements to be included in this run. If you don’t receive and invite and feel you qualify for the run, please contact Mufoxaa (or many alts), Shinrobi (or alts), or Daffnae.

Friday

Progression Run follow-up from Wednesday.

Saturday

25 man run with GOTL. We typically clear the first wing and attempt Festergut and Rotface if time allows.

Off Day - No Raids

There is nothing like the excitement of a real-life ding! Grats! W00t! Yipee! Yay! Woo Hoo! How will you use your new talent points? If I were you, I’d be sure to put a point in “R rated movies” or finally put that point in “driver’s license” that you have been putting off.

I apologize for not being on top of knowing everyone’s birthdays. I just can’t keep them straight. But, I am aware that’s it’s Foxer’s birthday today, so I thought I’d use the website to wish him happy birthday. I think Shin’s birthday is coming soon, but i’ll be on vacation and likely not able to post a birthday wish. So Happy Early Birthday to Shin as well!

I’ve been having fun this week with Real ID. I know some people have concerns and think it might just be the devil, but I have decided to not worry about it (kind of like not worrying about the germs in the subway) and just enjoy it.

Here’s one post I found on World of Matticus (on of my favorite web sites) where Lodur expresses his thoughts on Real ID: “Real I.D., Lodur’s thoughts“.

Read the first part of the post, even if you aren’t that interested in Real ID. I found it quite funny.

So, I realize that not everyone in the guild will want to give out their email and sign up for Real ID with everyone else in the guild. So, first and foremost, remember that if someone asks you to exchange emails that it’s OK to say no or to decline an invitation.

I did find out that you can request a Real ID friend of a friend without actually ever needing to know the person’s email. So, if you want to have an opportunity to be friends with the others in the guild, but not give out your email to everyone, you can become friends with one person that is friends with most people and then have others request the friendship from there. Also, only one of the people in the original “friendship” needs to know the email. I’m happy to give mine out to guild members, so feel free to ask me if you want to be able to become friends without giving your email out.

The mobs in order of importance (kill order)

Blazing Skeleton
Lay Waste -Surrounds the caster in flames for 12 sec, pulsing 3770 to 4230 Fire damage to all enemies every 2 sec.
Fireball -Inflicts 3299 to 3701 Fire damage to an enemy.

Suppressor
Suppression -Reduces healing received by the target by 10%. Lasts until cancelled (killed).

Risen Archmage
Frostbolt Volley -Inflicts 2828 to 3172 Frost damage to nearby enemies, reducing their movement speed by 50% for 8 sec.
Mana Void -Summons a Mana Void at a random enemies location. This Mana Void burns 800 mana per second to all enemies within a 6 radius. Lasts 30 seconds.
Column of Frost -Marks the location under a random player target. After 2 seconds a column of frost errupts from this location, dealing 11310 to 12690 Frost damage
to all enemies within 3 yards, knocking them into the air.

Blistering Zombie
Corrosion -Whenever the caster lands a melee swing, the target takes 2000 Nature damage every 3 seconds and their armor is reduced by 10%. This effect can
stack up to 5 times. Lasts 6 sec.
Acid Burst (0.75 sec cast) -The caster explodes, dealing 9425 to 10575 Nature damage instantly and 750 Nature damage per second to all enemies within 15 yards.
Lasts 20 sec. This ability is used at about 10% HP left, so melee should move out at about 15% to ensure not getting hit by it.

Gluttonous Abomination
Gut Spray -Deals 2000 Nature damage per second and increases Physical damage taken by 25% for 12 sec. Gluttonous Abominations will use this ability to spray
their current target (and anyone else within an 8 yard frontal cone of that players) with a large amount of nature damage. *Valithria Dreamwalker can be
damaged by this ability, so all Gluttonous Abominations should be faced away from the boss at all times.* Can be dispelled as well.
Rot Worms -Rot Worms are spawned when the Gluttonous Abomination dies. Each Rot Worm’s melee swing will hit for ~3-4k on a properly geared tank. Since they spawn in packs, the damage adds up fast. Need to be picked up
by the tank and AOE’d down quickly.

1-2 healers need to go into the green portals and gain the stacking buff http://www.wowhead.com/spell=70873 Emerald vigor.
Emerald Vigor -Invigorates the target with dreams, regenerating 200 Mana every 3 sec. The target’s damage and healing will also be increased by 10%. Stacks up to 100
times. Lasts 40 sec.

The strategy is fairly simple, the boss starts at 50% HP and we need to heal her to full. The mobs will be taken down in the above order and everyone will need to pay attention so we don’t take unnecessary damage from enemy AOE. The 10 man video linked above shows every aspect of the fight from a DPS perspective, while the 25 man shows it from a HEALER perspective.
